The cocido, or Spanish stew is one of the best known and most traditional dishes of Spanish cuisine. There are many types of stews (codidos) with different traditions all over the Spanish territory, such as the cocido Madrileno, Andalusian stew, the lebaniego stew, among others.
A Spanish stew requires a lot of preparation time, and the ingredients it brings contribute with enough calories to our body. But a hot stew is a great lunch especially in winter, to combat the cold.
